LOS ANGELES, June 2, 2017 – At CarbonLITE, we’re proud of our work as an industry-leading producer of food-grade post-consumer recycled PET. We oppose the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris climate accord, and encourage our industry to continue taking steps to reduce carbon emissions. We currently operate a plant in Riverside, Calif., and when we open our second plant in Dallas this summer, we will become the largest producer of food-grade PET in the world, processing more than 200 million pounds of post-consumer beverage containers per year. Products made from PET are recyclable and highly sustainable. Through state-of-the-art facilities, technologies and equipment, CarbonLITE is fully invested and committed to make an impact in preserving resources and reducing the carbon footprint from PET bottle production. To date, we have reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 75,000 tons and avoided using 370,000 cubic yards of landfill space. We believe that recycling is the only responsible option, and will continue to operate according to the CarbonLITE motto: “Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents, it’s loaned to you by our children.”
